Terms & Conditions

These terms and conditions constitute the service agreement between you (the client) and SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning (the company) for the provision of cleaning services provided by SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning

Please read the agreement carefully and review the terms. Use of our services constitutes your acceptance of these terms and conditions.

  1. Cleaning Services

Subject to the terms and conditions set out in this document, SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning agrees to provide cleaning and labour to the client at an address specified by the client

AFTER BUILDERS CLEANING

  • SK Renovation and Builders Cleaning reserves the right to amend the initial quotation, should the client’s circumstances or requirements change or if more than 10 days has elapsed since the original quotation was given
  • The client is responsible for making sure the cleaners have access to the property on the day of the clean and a rate of $50 per cleaner per hour will be charged to the client on top of the original quoted amount if the job cannot proceed at the scheduled time due to issues with access to the property.
  • The Client must ensure the cleaners have access to hot water and electricity as this is required to do the work and the company reserves the right to charge an additional fee if it’s not available. The fee will be determined on the day and calculated based on the cost of additional labour and equipment which will be required to complete the job.
  • The \company will not be responsible for triggering any alarm systems or monitoring systems. It is the clients responsibility to give clear instructions to deactivate any alarms which is in place at the home or facility.
  • The company will provide all cleaning chemicals and equipment (vacuum cleaner, mop, bucket and portable ladder) required to carry out the service. The exception to this will be for high access equipment such as scaffolding and boom lifts, it will be the clients responsibility to provide this if it is required to do the job safely.
  • The company will do it’s best to give a rough estimate of the duration of the cleaning service, which is based on a basic description of the requirements set out by the client. Please note that duration may vary therefore a degree of flexibility is required and the company reserves the right to change the estimated duration on the day of the clean.
  • All fragile and highly breakable items must be secured or removed. Items excluded from liability are: cash, items of sentimental value, art and antiques.
  • The company reserves the right to refuse any job if the cleaner deems the condition of the property to be to be unsafe to heath or wellbeing.
  1. Payment

The cost of the service is calculated on an hourly rate which will be quoted according to the requirements set out by the client.

A 50% deposit for the quoted amount will be required for the clean to be scheduled, the remaining 50% will be paid to the company’s nominated bank account and the payment terms will be 7 days from the time the job is completed

  1. Complaints

If the client is dissatisfied for any reason with the service provided, he/she must inform the company within 24 hours of completion of the service. SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning strives to achieve 100% customer satisfaction and will endeavour to resolve the problem quickly and efficiently. SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning may, at its discretion, offer the client the following:

  • A partial or full refund; or
  • Another service without charge; or
  • Such other remedy as as deemed appropriate by SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning.
  • The above will only be offered if there have been no other trades on the site after the cleaning was completed
  1. Accidents, Breakage, Damage

The client must inform SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning of any incident where an accident, breakage, damage to property or theft has occurred due to any act of the cleaner within 24 hours of completion of the service. SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning may then, at its discretion, offer the client the following:

  • Repair or replacement of the item
  • such other remedy as as deemed appropriate by SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning

Cleaners registered with SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning are independent contractors and are covered by Public Liability Insurance.

SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning cannot cover cleaners for domestic workers compensation because they are not employees of SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning.

  1. Cancellation Fees

All Cancellations made by the client must be by phone call only. We do not accept cancellations via email or text.

The client must provide the company with at least 24 hours notice prior to the service time if they wish to suspend, postpone or cancel the service for any reason. If notice is not given and the cleaners arrive onsite, then the client agrees to pay the $75 per cleaner to compensate for travel time and loss of income to the cleaners.

  1. Privacy Policy

The client acknowledges that any information provided by the client may be used by SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning for the purpose of providing the service. SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning agrees not to share any information provided by the client with any third party not directly involved in the provision of the service.

SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning will take all reasonable precautions to protect personal information provided by the client from misuse or unauthorised access.

The client agrees to SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning communicating with them by mail, phone, text or email and/or via other means in order to provide the service.

  1. SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning Cleaners

The client acknowledges SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning invests significant resources in recruiting, selecting and training its cleaners. The client must not, directly or indirectly, engage, employ or contract with any cleaner to provide any type of cleaning service or labour to the client, or any associate of the client, for a period within 12 months after the conclusion of any service organised by SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning. Doing so will result in the termination of any and all agreements between the client and SK Renovation & Builders Cleaning and the client agrees to compensate the company for income lost equivalent to 12 months.
